Things That You Should Consider Before Buying A Smartphone

Smartphones have become the daily part of lives and there an array of models available in the market. The smartphone industry is pouring the market with new models every second day. They also include various features that are useful to us on a daily basis. Right from the camera, battery, voice quality, and operational functions, the phones are highlighted in such a way that they are the best in the market.  The thing is that all the phones might appear good too but are they worth your money or the phone you are actually looking for. If you are planning to buy a new smartphone or changing your current phone, here are some factors that you must check out apart from price and other general specifications.

Display size
You must carefully choose the display size of the phone based on your usage. Generally, smartphones come in a size of 5.5 inches to 6 inches that support Full HD or QHD resolutions. If you have a habit of streaming videos, taking pictures, editing photos and videos and see movies on the phone, then a 6 inches phone is good for you.

However, if you are using the phone for checking emails, operating social media handles, browsing and chatting, then a 6 inches phone will prove to be bulky for you and difficult to carry around. A phone with 5 to 5.5 inches will be apt for you.

Build quality
Don’t just drool on the looks of the phone but also check out its durability. Smartphones are a bit delicate in comparison to old Symbian phones however, you can go for better build quality. A smartphone is made up of two components, plastic or metal. There are some phones which have glass-coated panels, but they are few in numbers. If you have a habit of dropping your phone, then a plastic or metal built phone is appropriate for you. They can sustain a fall from 2 to 3 feet while the glass-based handsets will break off at once.

Processor
The processor of the phone differentiates from phone to phone and also depends on factors like OS versions, UI, bloatware and other things. In case you are a heavy user and play online games, edit images, videos, download movies and use split-screen mode then processors like Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 or Snapdragon 820/821 should suit your multitasking needs.  For light users, phones equipped with MediaTek processors will be good enough.

Camera
Don’t just look at the number of megapixels of the camera that a phone has. The image quality of the phone camera depends on many other factors like a camera aperture, pixel size, ISO levels, and autofocus. A 16MP camera might not take better pictures than a 12MP camera. The story is the same with the front-facing camera as well.

Battery
The battery is the most important component of your phone that supplies power to it. The battery usage differs from user to user of the smartphone. Heavy users of phone playing games, surfing the internet, watching videos and other things should always opt for a phone with 3500mAh battery and above. For average and light users, 3000mAh is sufficient for a full day run.

OS version
The first thing that you come across in the smartphone is its OS, and you must be careful while selecting the phone with it. Most of the phones today have the Google android version, which has a simple user interface and is easy to use. However, some smartphones made OEM come with bloatware OS, and other complicated applications, and not everyone would like to use them. Thus, you should specify your OS before you buy your phone.
